Axis Take Away the Label: Artists Views on Ethnicity, Practice and Career Support in the UK
Axis Take Away the Label: Artists Views on Ethnicity, Practice and Career Support in the UK

Using a range of techniques, Desk Research, Depth Interviews and E:Surveys we explored the current provision of support for artists from Black and minority ethnic backgrounds and perceptions held about this support. This audit and consultation process resulted in a series of strategic recommendations some of which identified what assistance artists actually require. We also recommended the need for further discussion and research into the assumptions made by policymakers about ethnicity, cultural production and the arts market.
